Cowan Creek Golf Club is a Semi-Private 18-hole golf course in Georgetown, Texas. Cowan Creek Golf Club is the newest championship golf course at Sun City Texas. The other two courses are Legacy Hills Golf Club and White Wing Golf Club. Cowan Creek Golf Club is open to the public 7 days a week.
Cowan Creek Golf Club opened in 2008. The course was designd by Gary Stevenson.
At Cowan Creek Golf Club you can enjoy a beautiful layout highlighted by cascading waterfalls, great landscapes, and fairways and greens that work with the natural character of the land. The course has large landing areas and generous greens. The fairways are lined with classic hill country terrain, cactus, mesquite trees and wild life. There are few water carries but be ready for the first hole with its creek carry into a dogleg left. Each hole has its own character., Cowan Creek plays at 7050 yards from the black tees. Featuring 5 sets of tees, Cowan Creek offers every golfer a challenging yet fair round. Cowan Creek has a 9000 sq.ft. putting green, a large driving range, along with chipping, pitching, and sand practice areas.
Cowan Creek Golf Course is a par-72 layout that plays to 7,050 yards from the back tees.

A golfer with local knowledge recommended Cowan Creek to me [we were playing White Wing, and I was spraying shots all over the place]. He was right, and I recommend it as well. Of the three Sun City Courses, this is probably the most enjoyable, while still presenting all the challenge you could want. Don't remember how much I paid, but considered it a bargain at the time due to booking online through golfnow.com.
